2026 Polaris 850 RMK KHAOS 146

The 2026 Polaris 850 RMK Khaos 146 is a high-performance mountain snowmobile built on the MATRYX platform. The Khaos model is specifically tuned for a more dynamic and "playful" riding style in the backcountry, prioritizing lift, flickability, and agility over the pinpoint precision of the PRO RMK.   

 Engine and drive system

• Engine: A liquid-cooled, 840cc Patriot 850 2-stroke engine with Cleanfire injection, providing powerful and reliable performance.
• Optional power: Exclusive SnowCheck factory mods, the Patriot 9R or Patriot Boost, were available for spring order.
• Drive system: The QuickDrive system is designed for quick response and low inertia, which aids in maneuverability in deep snow.
• Clutching: Features a P-85 primary clutch and a TEAM LWT driven clutch.
• Starting and reverse: PERC® electronic reverse is standard, while electric start is available as an option. 

  Chassis and suspension

• Platform: The MATRYX platform is built for backcountry performance with a lightweight, narrow chassis, seat, and console for improved rider connection and agility.
• Rear suspension: The RMK Khaos Rear Suspension is specifically designed for a playful feel, emphasizing weight transfer and traction for light, agile handling. It offers a generous 16 inches of travel.
• Front suspension: The RMK React front suspension offers a highly predictable ride and includes a narrow, adjustable ski stance (36–38 inches).
• Shocks: The suspension is controlled by premium Walker Evans Velocity Hi-Lo shocks, which are adjustable for high- and low-speed compression damping and feature remote reservoirs for consistent performance.
• Track: Track options include a 15 x 146 x 2.0-inch Crossover track or a 15 x 146 x 2.6-inch Series 6 track.
